yikes...

So I was on the way to the monthly Grand Lodge Board of Directors meeting. I was wondering what kind of mood the fellas would be in. This bus was in the parking lot.
Surely an omen I thought. Nope the gentlemen were truly at their best. A great night for the Grand Lodge. I have said it before I know, I love this stuff!

What is next?

This is the weekend of the North East Conference of Grand Masters, this year hosted by Connecticut. The Deputy Grand Master and I dutifully went to the airport and arrived there way way early. Well two gate changes and two airplanes later we were on our way (three hours late). Oh did I mention the unruly passenger? There was a guy who was a little tt vocal with airline staff on the ground in Detroit. Even after we boarded a plane he continued to be belligerent.  He was now turning his attention to the flight crew and passengers. After a safe landing in Hartford, the flight attendant opened the door for our exit, first the State Troopers boarded looking for our buddy. My guess is his weekend sucked after that.
So the conference went great we had great conversation, a great BBQ lunch and finally the trip back to the room to prepare for supper. Oh yeah one elevator ride from the room... You guessed it the elevator got suck. Seemed like a long time in that car (probably ten minutes) with seven other tired Masons. After that eternity we were freed. So what's next?

It was a great BBQ for lunch. Good job guys! Thank you.
Our transportation around the campus of the Masonic home in Connecticut. The Masons in Connecticut have every right to be proud of this facility.
The Bus back to the hotel.

George watched over us as we had BBQ.

This is a beautiful place I hear it is over seventy acres and houses one thousand residents. It offers help to the public as well.
I always feel better when I see these.

Visit

Stopped for lunch with Curt McGuire today. Curt recently had ligament surgery on one foot/ankle. Of course the surgery was more extensive than anyone expected. I thought I may cheer him up, of course he made me laugh. The best laid plans...

Iron sharpens Iron

This was the weekend for the annual Grand Masters retreat. The leadership team for The Grand Lodge of Michigan met and stayed in Holland Michigan. Saturday was a work day and we spent several hours is "session" discussing and shaping the future of the leadership in our craft. This stuff is exciting and really gets me motivated. Lot's of ideas and great work was accomplished. Before you feel sorry for us I should mentioned we had supper at Coral Gables in beautiful Sagatuck. Now - back to the office (:

JOBS!

Thursday night I was honored to be at the Formal Opening of "Courage to Fight for Freedom and Peace" Grand Session of JOBS. The event has recently been held at the Amway Grand Plaza in Grand Rapids Michigan. This year it was there again and what a fantastic event. The banquet was wonderful and the opening was well done. Thank you Mom & Dad Taschereau for the courtesis offered to me and the Grand Lodge Leadership team. Most importantly thank you Ms. Hailey Flowers for showing extreme courage when it was needed.

                                                     Check out Erin!
